For the past week, the school community have been taking part in a very special icing competition organised by our Design and Technology Faculty. Battling it out on behalf of our three Houses – More, Fisher and Newman – students painstakingly spent time after school creating, designing and making intricate sculptures. The theme was Dr Seuss, in honour of our school production of “Seussical” which is taking place this week.
Over the week, students have used their creative flair to make hats, cats and all things like that! It was fantastic to see our students demonstrate their imaginative side through the challenge, which required a very steady hand, a clear vision, an understanding the impact of colour on icing, and precision. Over three evenings, sculptures slowly came to life, taking shape into the weird and wonderful Seussical characters which are loved across the world.
Well done to everyone who took part!
