For the past few weeks, a number of Upper Sixth students, Annabel S, Mairead M, Freya H and Anya J, have been organising festive hampers for local care homes as part of the Outreach Club, a club where in which they aim to help the local community in various projects. Spearheaded by Annabel, the group were able to make four festive hampers from food generously donated by our catering company, Holroyd Howe, school community and local retailers. The hampers were then beautifully decorated with fresh jam, bread, cakes and treats, all ready to be delivered to Charlton Kings Care Home, Hampton House Care Home, Wentworth Court and Lillybrook Care Home on Wednesday.
This was a wonderful project managed by our Sixth Form students who have shown various HPL characteristics such as concern for society, hard work, open mindedness and collaboration. They have displayed a high level of maturity, innovation and generosity which is befitting of the values which are held at the heart of our school community.
Excellent work by our students and thank you to the school community, Holroyd Howe, The Food Warehouse, Aldi, Co-Op and Morrisons for your generous donations.
