St Edward’s is a school that focuses on the whole person and sees each individual as just that – an individual, rather than a number on a page.
Aiming High
We have high expectations of all members of our school community. Excellent teaching and pastoral care, in a nurturing environment, enables each child to thrive and flourish.
Small class sizes ensure teachers really understand each pupil and how best to support their individual needs to maximise achievement. Academic achievement will always be at the heart of what we do and, of equal importance, is the support for personal fulfilment and growth.
A Home-School Partnership
We encourage pupils to get fully involved in all aspects of school life to gain the most from the academic, co-curricular, sporting and cultural activities on offer. As a Day School, we especially value the excellent home-school partnership we develop with our parents, which is so important in supporting your child’s learning and progress.
Clubs & Activities
Our extended day, from 7:45am to 5:30pm, delivers an opportunity for pupils to immerse themselves in a range of activities and sports. From rugby and netball, to Duke of Edinburgh
(DofE) and our Combined Cadet Force (CCF), as well as a variety of musical and creative clubs; our Co-Curricular Programme is structured to ensure that there is something for everyone to be involved in and enjoy.

Trips & Expeditions
We also offer a wide variety of trips, including skiing in Europe, a cultural tour of Italy and Vatican City, a visit to New York, as well as language trips to Spain, the challenge of individual and group expeditions with CCF and DofE and World Challenge trips to places like Botswana, Ecuador and Zanzibar.
All of these experiences help to make St Edward’s pupils independent, socially aware and conscious of their place in the wider world.
