We are very proud of our history. Formerly two separate schools, Charlton Park School for Girls and Whitefriars School for Boys, merged in 1987 to create St Edward’s. In the beginning the School was divided into First, Middle and Senior Sections, but in 1995 was restructured to Junior and Senior.
All former students are part of the St Edward’s story and a community that we hope they will part of for their whole lives. It is our aim that everyone who attends St Edward’s will be able to benefit from, and build upon, the experience of those who have gone before.
Each and every student will have their own unique memories but also a shared experience. We are keen to ensure that the St Edward’s experience continues long after the end of Sixth Form and are in the process of building an alumni community which will keep people in touch and facilitate a range of events and activities to keep us all connected.
Our overarching aim is to create a community where former pupils can remain connected with each other no matter what their age or wherever they may be in the world.
