Year 8 IT students, taught by Mr Geracitano, Mr Foster and Mr Andrews, are learning how to code web pages this term.
Having mastered the basics, such as <h1> for headers and <b> for bold, they moved on to inserting images <img src=“my photo.jpg”> and are now learning how to lay out their pages using <div> tags. They have also coded hyperlinks to connect their web page with others.
Seen here, students are coding in Notepad and viewing their pages in Chrome – demonstrating multi-tasking skills! They are also appreciating that detail is everything – one misplaced > or ; leads to a blank page!
