In their RS lessons this term, Year 8 students have been studying Judaism, and more specifically, Jewish traditions.
As part of their studies the class were asked to give presentations on:
- Jewish Festivals
- Synagogues
- Jewish Weddings
- Orthodox and Reform Jews
- Jewish Dietary Laws
- Bar Mitzvah
The students delivered some very impressive presentations and came up with an array of imaginative ways to present their material. Audience participation was encouraged and some presentations even included a quiz (with edible rewards!) and the giving out of homemade cake!
Each of the students showed confidence, creativity, good collaboration and engaged well with their audience, excellently demonstrating the behaviours, which are a requirement for successful High Performance Learning.
