Sixthform Art

In the first week back, Lower Sixth students have been busy in the Art Studio utilising their skills in creativity to create anatomical sculptures. With a glue gun in hand, our talented artists intricately designed and built their structures with driftwood which, stick by stick, came to life. It was great to see our students using their imagination and demonstrating their passion for art, whilst also considering the bigger picture of their work, making sure each part of the sculpture was anatomically accurate and also fit in with their overall design.

This was a great way to start the Spring Term, with many HPL values used, specifically “Linking”, which was used by all as they were required to use their previous knowledge of using multi-materials in their art work and their understanding of the human body from Science lessons.
