**St Edward’s, Cheltenham Celebrates Remarkable 2024 A-Level Results**
St Edward’s, Cheltenham is delighted to announce the A-Level results for the Class of 2024. We are immensely proud of each and every one of our students who have demonstrated exceptional resilience and determination in achieving these outstanding results. This cohort is particularly noteworthy as they are the first in recent years to have faced the challenges of sitting both their GCSE and A-Level examinations, all while navigating the disruptions to their education during the early years of secondary school.
Our headline figures this year are:
A*-A – 34%
A*-B – 64%
100% Pass rate
18% of students A*/A
33% of students with 2 or more grades at A*/A
Each student’s success is a testament to their hard work and commitment, and we are thrilled that they have secured the grades needed to embark on the next stage of their journey. Whether they are heading to university, pursuing apprenticeships, entering employment, or taking a gap year, we celebrate their achievements and look forward to seeing all that they will accomplish in the future.
Our Headmaster, Matthew Burke, shared his heartfelt congratulations to the students and expressed his deep appreciation for the collective efforts that have contributed to these results. "I am so proud of each and every one of our students. Their perseverance and dedication have truly paid off, and they have set a wonderful example for future cohorts. I am also incredibly grateful to our entire staff, whose dedication and support have been instrumental in guiding our students through these challenging years. Additionally, I want to acknowledge the families of our students, whose encouragement and support have been invaluable throughout their educational journey."
As Mr. Burke prepares to step down from his role as Headmaster, he reflects on this year's results with great pride. "These are my last set of results as Headmaster, and I am really pleased to be departing on such a high note. It has been an absolute privilege to lead this school and to witness the growth and success of our students. I wish them all the best of luck in their futures, and I have no doubt that they will continue to make us proud."
At St Edward’s, we believe that education is about more than just academic success; it is about fostering a love of learning, developing character, and preparing our students for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Today, we celebrate not only their academic achievements but the bright futures that await them.
