Choosing the right Sixth Form is an important step for you as you embark on the final stage of formal education before moving to your next step in life.

Whatever path you take, these two years should be enjoyable and stimulating. You will want to choose subjects that you are good at and will stretch you, in preparation for the skills and knowledge you will need to fulfil your future plans. We believe our Sixth Form is a special place. You will enjoy exceptionally small classes where specialist and enthusiastic teachers will be able to focus on you and your needs to ensure you get the very best possible results.

Entrance to the Sixth Form is by interview at any time or by Scholarship Exams in October. It is preferable for pupils entering the Sixth Form to have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Level 5 or above and at least a Level 6 in subjects chosen for A Level. For Sciences and Maths a Level 7 or higher is recommended. Applicants for Academic Scholarships should be predicted all Level 7 or above at GCSE. Sport, Music, Drama, and Art Scholarships are also available. Applicants come to the School individually for assessment. Further details of our entry process and requirements can be found here.

Whatever you choose to do here you will be in a School with an ethos that will encourage and support you to work hard, where we provide first-rate teaching and exceptional pastoral care to give you every opportunity to succeed and most importantly to leave here having made life-time friends and many happy memories.

You will find a very wide range of activities to get involved in from sport, music and drama to CCF, Duke of Edinburgh, debating, community service and Young Enterprise.

You will be expected to develop your leadership skills by working with the younger members of the school community, perhaps in a play or sports coaching or you may take on the role of House Captain, Prefect or Head Girl or Head Boy.
