- Whilst not immediately obvious from the road, behind the school walls pupils benefit from 20 acres of school grounds, with access to 40 acres of sports grounds on London Road.
- The site of the School, Charlton Park, was once a hunting lodge that belonged to Edward the Confessor (1003-1066).
- St Edward’s has a number of notable alumni including multi-award winning Actor Josh O’Connor, who is best known for his role of Prince Charles in the Netflix Series, “The Crown”.
- In January 2022, St Edward's was acquired by Alpha Schools, a leading UK Independent Schools Group. The acquisition provides a phenomenal opportunity for the school to thrive and prosper well into the future.
- In 2022 and 2023, St Edward's secured many awards including finalist for UK Independent School of the Year and awards around community engagement, wellbeing provision and leadership.
