GCSE Results 2023
In 2023 our GCSE Results were as follows:
- 9-6 or equivalent (A*-B) 67%
- 9-5 or equivalent (A*-B) 84%
- GCSE pass rate (A*-C) 95%
Building on the success of our A Level results for our St Edward’s students we are delighted to announce a fantastic set of GCSE results for this year’s Year 11 students.

A Level Results 2023
In 2023 our A Level Results were as follows:
- A*-A : 16%
- A*-B: 47%
- A*-C: 95%
This year has seen an increased number of students moving straight into employment or taking on the challenge of an apprenticeship. But for those who are continuing their studies at university, going on to study at the prestigious Russell Group Universities with others choosing to study in the United States, Italy and the Philippines.
Whilst we are of course proud of each of our students we were delighted that these results have helped Ciara T secure a scholarship to study at Bradley University where she will not only be able to continue her academic studies but develop her sporting talents even further following in the footsteps of many St Edward’s students who secured full scholarships to study in the United States and benefit from their athletic programmes. .
Headmaster, Matthew Burke commented
“I am so proud of each and every one of the students and the success they have achieved. The results that they have secured today are the result of many years hard work, dedication and personal drive to be the best them that they can be.”
He added
“Huge thanks must also be extended to our entire team here at St Edward’s who every day go above and beyond, enabling our students to attain above their baseline grades and secure places at their first-choice destination. The results that our students secure are also down to the fantastic team they have around them including their parents who choose to send their children to us and today is a genuine day of family celebrations and we are so happy for them all.”
