The School was inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) in November 2015. St Edward’s School was recognised as being ‘Excellent’ in all categories.
Inspectors visited the School for four days from 24th to 27th of November. They confirmed that the School was fully compliant with all of the requirements of the Education (Independent School Standards) Regulations 2014. Following this there was a rigorous inspection of all aspects of the school’s work; the quality of pupils’ achievements and learning; the contribution of curricular and extra-curricular provision; the contribution of teaching; the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of the pupils; the contribution of arrangements for pastoral care; the contribution of arrangements for welfare, health and safety; the quality of governance; and the quality of leadership and management, including links with parents, carers and guardians. We achieved the judgement of excellent in all of the above eight categories.
We are, of course, delighted with the findings of the report, but we are certainly not complacent. We will continue to drive forward and ensure we sustain our pursuit of excellence. We have two minor recommendations which we will address and we will strive to keep on improving in all areas so that we maintain the highest standards in our provision on a daily basis.
Congratulations to the St Edward’s Community and thank you to our Pupils, Staff, Trustees and Parents for their work, support and the positive contributions they make to this lovely school community which is justifiably proud of its excellent achievement.
