We know that choosing the right school for your child is one of the hardest decisions you will have to make. Cheltenham is extremely fortunate to benefit from many excellent schools, both independent and state, thus making the decision even more difficult. You may not know what your young child will grow up to become; an able sportsman, gifted musician, talented artist or academic scholar, so a school that offers all these opportunities, and more, may be the perfect solution. St Edward’s encourages ALL its pupils to be the very best they can be by providing a wealth of curricular and extra-curricular activities.

When our pupils leave at Year 6 to either continue their education at our Senior School, or successfully gain places at local Grammar and State schools, they leave happy, ambitious, respectful and appreciative of others.

“The children who attend the Kindergarten are so lucky to have such an enriched start to their education” Nursery parent.

“My child joined in Year 4 and made two years’ progress in just nine months”. Prep School parent.

The Process

The Admissions process begins with a visit to the School, whether through an Open Day or by arranging an individual tour during term time.  To arrange a visit, please contact our Admissions Department.

Following your visit to the School and completion of a Registration Form, an ‘Experience Week’ would be arranged for your child  (Rec to Year 6) to spend 3-5 days at the School. We also require satisfactory reports from your child’s current or most recent school, as well as copies of any specialist assessments. On successful completion of the Experience Week an offer can be made.

Please note that in the event of over subscription for a Year group, your child will be placed on a waiting list and the Admissions Department will keep you updated on any progress or availability.
