Talented musicians from across the Senior and Sixth Form took part in this year’s Spring Concert at Pittville Pump Room on Wednesday evening. The high vaulted ceilings provided an outstanding musical experience for our students who relished the opportunity to perform in a beautiful setting to a live audience.

The event began with members of Brass Roots performing Magnifique Fanfare from the gallery, heralding the start of the concert. Throughout the evening, students in the Chapel, Year 7 and Senior Choirs performed a range of vocal pieces, interspersed with the glorious sounds from the chamber orchestra, woodwind ensemble, flute group, guitar group, drumming dudes and soloist on the Tuba, Music Scholar Dan L (Upper Sixth). The audience was hugely impressed by the outstanding talent displayed by our students who performed brilliantly throughout.

As the evening drew to a close, our choirs combined to deliver an outstanding performance of the very best of the Beach Boys, which brought smiles and claps from our audience. The Spring Concert was an exceptional event, showcasing our very talented school community and music scholars as well as giving our students the fantastic opportunity to perform in such a recognisable, beautiful setting in the heart of Cheltenham.

Thank you to Mrs Pope, Director of Music for organising the concert, our wonderful peripatetic team and all of our students who were exceptional throughout.
