Pupils in Reception have been thoroughly enjoying their Christmas themed activities this week. Their classroom has been transformed in to an ‘Elves Workshop’ with a plethora of festive tasks and crafts to try.

Some of the activities were relatively simple, such as counting the correct number of ‘snowballs’ into cups or exercising their fine motor skills whilst collecting baubles with tweezers. Others required lots of focus and attention to detail. One task in particular, the creation of personalised gingerbread tree decorations, required lots of patience from the children as they cut their ornaments out from craft foam.

A firm favourite with the children was the exceptionally effective snowman ornament craft that they completed on Tuesday. Using just socks, glue, rice, buttons and ribbon, the pupils each made a wonderful snowy figure, which we are sure will be treasured for years to come.
