This half-term Year 3 and Year 4 had been due to visit the Three Counties Show and take part in a range of activities. However, given the current situation, the show did not take place as planned, and was run as a virtual event instead. You can find out all about the show and still visit it virtually at https://www.royalthreecounties.co.uk/

Prior to the Show weekend of 12th -14th June Three Counties ran a children’s competition that our Year 3 and 4 pupils were encouraged to participate in. The Show itself is a celebration of farming, food and the great outdoors so the theme of their competition was ‘Food, Farming and Family Fun’.

Contestants were invited to submit an entry, based on the theme, from one of the following categories:

  • Drawing or poster (no larger than A3).
  • Model or craft item (photo of item must be submitted).
  • Edible item (such as a cake, biscuits, etc.).
  • Photo or one minute video.

The Year 3 and 4 Form Teachers challenged our pupils to take part and send us their entries, as well as sending them in to the Show. Although none of the St Edward’s entrants were selected as the final winners, we’re sure you’ll agree from the selection of entries below that our pupils showed great creativity and imagination in their responses to the brief!
