Year 9 enjoyed a fascinating day at the Museum of Natural History and the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford on Tuesday.

The Museum staff delivered a hugely informative introductory talk about the types of objects they have in their collections and some facts and figures about the displays. The array of artefacts is simply amazing, ranging from dinosaur skeletons to Samurai armour.

Throughout the day students worked from observation, producing some detailed drawings, using a variety of different mediums. These studies will form a foundation for the students to develop further in the Art Studios back at School.

It was a hugely enjoyable trip which really served to inspire our young artists!
