Students of St Edward’s Senior & Sixth Form congregated in the Main Hall on Monday to celebrate Mass, marking the start of the Spring Term.

Our School Chaplain, Fr Pat, led the Mass, looking forward to the term ahead, whilst reflecting on the successful first term of the academic year.

Fr Pat made reference to the birth of Jesus, and how important it is to always try to be optimistic about situations we may face in life, regardless of how challenging they are. Fr Pat spoke about how, in many ways, Mary, Joseph and Jesus were very much an ordinary family as Jesus was growing up, and that we, like them, should value the time we can spend with our loved ones.

Olivia and Ben, our Head Girl and Head Boy, read pieces of scripture prior to the taking of communion and a closing prayer from Fr Pat.

The Start of Term Mass is always a lovely occasion, allowing the School community to come together and look ahead to what is to come.
