PC Fiona McDowell paid a visit to the Senior School today to talk to our Year 7s about internet safety and how to ensure that they stay secure whilst online.

PC McDowell, who works as a ‘Schoolbeat’ officer for Gloucestershire Police Schools Unit, spoke to our students and asked them to take part in some tasks and activities to teach them more about the importance of being safe whilst using computers, tablets, phones and social media.

Schoolbeat is an initiative from the Gloucestershire Constabulary that sees officers visit schools all over the county and talk to children in Year 6 to Year 9 about a range of potential hazards that they may encounter as they mature both in and out of school.

Our children found the important session with PC McDowell very informative and were grateful for the useful hints and tips that she provided.
