There’s an exciting half-term ahead at St Edward’s Senior & Sixth Form with plenty of activities and events taking place for pupils, staff and parents to look forward to.

STEPS Masterclasses are continuing where they left off last term, with specialist coaches and trainers in rugby, hockey, swimming and strength and conditioning hosting our Scholars and sports stars to help them develop and improve their skills.

The new term also sees plenty of fixtures for all year groups in this term’s sports, which are football, netball and hockey, taking place throughout the week and also on weekends.

There are a wide range of subject-related trips planned for pupils, enabling them to take their learning outside of the classroom and apply what they have been learning in school, using and developing their knowledge. A highlight will no doubt be the annual ski trip, which this year is taking place in Italy.

One of the key events this half-term is our annual Drama production, which is due to take place place during the first week in February. This year’s production sees our young actors singing and dancing in ‘Chicago – High School Edition’, with tickets currently available for the performances taking place from Wednesday 5th February to Saturday 8th February. Cast members and crew have been working and rehearsing extremely hard throughout the whole of the Autumn Term and will continue to do so until the exciting opening night. Last year’s brilliant production of ‘A Comedy of Errors’ has meant there are high expectations of the performance, and we are all sure that they will deliver an excellent show.

We look forward to sharing news about all our exciting activities as the term progresses.
