Students from all year groups teamed up with staff from their respective Houses to compete in the Globetrotters Quiz, held in the Drama Studio on Monday lunchtime.

The annual competition, which this year was organised and hosted by a group of Year 7s, sees each House compete in small teams to answer Geography related questions to earn all-important House Points.

The Teams worked together to complete a range of challenges including naming the pictured city or landmark that Santa’s sleigh was flying over, naming the capital city of a variety of obscure countries and locating volcanoes on a printed world map.

Those taking part took the competition very seriously and there was plenty of answer hiding and whispering to ensure that no answers were accidentally shared with other Houses’ teams.

The Year 7 hosts were kept very busy, with some asking the questions, whilst others worked hard to stay on top of marking the many answer sheets.

After extensive marking and deliberation, it was announced that More were the winning House, with Newman and Fisher following closely behind in second and third respectively.

It was fabulous to see the enthusiasm of those taking part, as they worked brilliantly together demonstrating a great deal of House Spirit.
