Flocks of excited children descended on the Manor House at the Prep School on Saturday morning to visit Santa’s grotto as part of the PTA’s ‘Breakfast with Santa’ event.

From early in the morning, there were queues of parents and eager children waiting to be greeted by Santa, with the line stretching outside the door on numerous occasions, such was the popularity of the event. The Manor House was decorated with Christmas trees, fairy lights and ivy, creating a really Christmassy feel. There were mince pies on hand for the children and family members to enjoy as they waited patiently to enter the Grotto.

After spending time with Father Christmas and his elves in the Grotto, the children and their families then went to ‘The Seedling’, our School refectory, where they were served a delicious full English breakfast, expertly cooked by our caterers, Holroyd Howe.

Whilst enjoying their food visitors were also treated to a performance from some of our Choir members who sang a selection of carols.

It was a joyous occasion that certainly put the School in the festive spirit in the run up to Christmas.
