Our Year 5 Pupil Chaplaincy team travelled to Clifton Cathedral today to take part in a service led by Bishop Declan, where they were officially commissioned and presented with their badges.

Children from Catholic schools all over the Diocese attended and, moving forward, our pupils will be playing a vital role in enhancing the religious life at St Edward’s.

Pupil Chaplains are a hugely important part of school life, with our Chaplaincy team helping to welcome new members of the School community, taking part in fundraising initiatives and participating in Masses and assemblies.

It was lovely to have so many of our Year 5s volunteering to take on the role, and to see how proud they were to receive their badges. We look forward to celebrating their commitment in School on Friday when they receive their certificates in our Whole School Assembly.
