At last week’s Year 3-6 Inter-House Cross Country competition there was an incredible amount of House Spirit and camaraderie, along with some very close races.

Just as the races were about to start, so did the heavy rain, but it did not dampen the runners’ determination to do well and earn points for their House. It was great to see older members of each House cheering on and motivating the younger members to do as well as they possible could.

The circuit saw St Edward’s Prep pupils run around the outside of two of our three fields, with one inclined to add a further challenge to the track. There were also many parents and family members attending, despite the rain, to cheer on their children and their support brightened the otherwise wet and windy morning.

After very competitive and well-fought races, Blyton came out on top in the Year 3 and Year 4 section, ahead of Dahl and Lewis. In the Year 5 and Year 6 races, it was Dahl that finished first, with Lewis and Blyton second and third respectively.
