Congratulations to all of the amazing runners from St Edward’s who participated in the Cheltenham Half Marathon yesterday to raise money for Sue Ryder’s Leckhampton Court Hospice.
There were over 20 St Edward’s parents, staff members and friends taking part in the 13.1 mile run around the town which concluded at Cheltenham Racecourse.
We are very proud to be able to help raise funds for Sue Ryder and have worked closely with them over recent months, putting on a number of events. Last Term our Year 6 also paid a visit the Hospice to see how the money helps with the charity’s work.
Our incredible team were able to raise an astonishing £19,000 that will go towards helping local families requiring care.
Many thanks to all the runners – we are very grateful for your commitment and hard work whilst training for the event. Thank you also to everyone who supported and sponsored the team – it is greatly appreciated.
