Pre-Prep celebrated Father’s Day a few days early today with a whole range of special activities taking place in the Department, for the children to enjoy with their Dads.
In the morning Year 2 Dads joined their children in the classroom to have a go at designing a futuristic mode of transport. They then all went to The Seedling to enjoy a tasty lunch of fish and chips.
The Father’s Day celebrations continued in afternoon with children in Reception and Year 1 taking part in activities with their Dads. In Year 1 things got a little messy as the children (with a little help from the adults) made fudge to take home, decorated with sweets and smarties!
In Reception, for their Father’s Day afternoon the Dads had the opportunity to get involved in a number of games and activities including model making, role play in the Farmer’s Market area, Lego building and reading.
It was absolutely fantastic to welcome so many Dads to spend time in School. As well as having a lot of fun, it was also a great opportunity for our Pre-Prep pupils to show examples of their work and provide their Dads with an insight into what life is like in the Department.
