St Edward’s Senior & Sixth Form celebrated resounding success at the ISA Midlands Athletics shortly before the half term break, with 13 of our pupils advancing to the ISA National Athletics competition, being held later this month in Birmingham.

There was a range of different track and field events that our athletes excelled in, including Hannah L and Ollie R in Javelin, Hannah L and Emma H in 800m, Victor H in High Jump, Freya H in 1500m and Sam S, Ben P, Mo P, Harvey S, Iyanu P, Izzy H, Anya J and Freya H in the 4 x 100m relay.

Those who progressed were from Year 8 all the way up to Year 11.

We are fortunate to have a thriving PE Department, giving every pupil the opportunity to excel in a wide range of sports and enabling them to perform to the best of their capabilities.

All of the pupils that took part did extremely well and should be proud of their efforts. We wish those advancing to the ISA Nationals the very best of luck, and we look forward to hearing how they get on.
