This week has seen children from Year 3 to Year 6 head to the swimming pool at the Senior School to take part in our annual Prep School Swimming Galas.

On Tuesday Year 5 and 6 pupils from our three Houses, Blyton, Dahl and Lewis went head to head in the pool, competing for their respective Houses. Then on Thursday it was the turn of Year 3 and Year 4 to take to the water.

There was lots of friendly competition at both events, and even more noise, with the children of each House supporting their fellow pupils as they were racing, making it a great occasion for everyone involved.

There were some new school records set and each event saw different winners in what turned out to be two hotly contested fixtures. In the end the winning Houses were as follows:

  • Year 3/4: Blyton House
  • Year 5/6: Lewis House

The Swimming Galas are annual events that take place at the end of the Spring Term, providing our pupils with an opportunity to showcase the skills and abilities that they have gained during swimming classes that take place throughout the academic year.
