Our U11 girls enjoyed resounding success when they were crowned Champions at the Midlands ISA Netball Tournament, which took place at Malvern St James School on Tuesday.

The sun shone throughout for the U11 girls as they played ten matches over the course of the day. The team won a fantastic nine matches and drew one, meaning they remained unbeaten for the entire tournament, whilst racking up an impressive 43 goals.

Schools that St Edward’s faced in the Group Stage included Malvern St James, Stafford Prep, Mylnhurst, Castle House, Akeley Wood Junior, Arnold Lodge, Twycross House and Crackley Hall, before progressing to the semi-final, defeating Old Vicarage School 9-2 and winning 4-1 in the final against Grantham Prep.

This is the first time in over 20 years that the U11 girls have taken the title of Midlands Champions, and the third year in a row that they have progressed to the National Finals. A fantastic achievement – many congratulations to everyone involved!
