Welfare & Well-being

At St Edward's, we care about the well-being of each individual and are sensitive to the needs of boys and girls as they go through adolescence, providing clear guidelines and support every step of the way.

Our close-knit pastoral system guarantees that such care is central to school life. Each pupil has a Form Tutor who gives day to day guidance, and the key age groups are under the overall supervision of their own pastoral leader. There is also a full-time Chaplain, Fr.Basil, who is available for all pupils.

All our teachers know that they are part of our overall pastoral responsibility for the students - as a staff we regularly share our concerns about the children.

"The school's clear commitment to Christian values is apparent in its strong supportive community ethos. The respect and care shown by staff to each pupil are reflected in mutual respect and concern between pupils themselves." - ISI Report
