Our Ethos

As a parent myself, I know what I look for in a school: excellent teaching, in the right disciplinary, pastoral and spiritual atmosphere. As Headmaster of St. Edward's, that is my ideal for your child.

At the top of our priorities, as a Catholic foundation, is our Christian ethos. Academically we have a good track record of nurturing young men and women to fulfil their potential, from the Oxbridge high flyer to the struggling 'slogger'. And we are strong in the sporting and cultural extra-curricular activities that develop the whole person.

Founded as a fully co-educational school, we are sensitive to the pastoral needs of boys and girls as they go through adolescence, providing the clear guidelines and support that developing young personalities need. As a day school, we work closely with you, the parents, so that our students' family and school lives are well-integrated and feed into one another.
