Mandarin

Mandarin is being studied in Year 9 as an additional modern language (the others are German and Spanish, with French taken by everyone).

Our Mandarin teacher is Mr.Edward Derbyshire, MA (Oxon), a specialist in the subject. The language is offered as a GCSE option in Year 10.

Mandarin is also available to all other year groups as an extra-curricular club before school. Pupils from this group can be entered for GCSE Mandarin in due course on the advice of Mr.Derbyshire.
