Mandarin

Mandarin has now been introduced onto our curriculum and is being studied in Years 8 and 9 as an additional modern langauge (the others are German and Spanish, with French taken by everyone ).

Our Mandarin teacher is Mr.Edward Derbyshire, MA (Oxon), who is a specialist in the subject. the langauge will be offered as a GCSE option in Year 10 from 2009.

Mandarin is also available to all other yeargroups as an after-school extra. Pupils from this group can be entered for GCSE Mandarin in due course on the advice of Mr.Derbyshire.
