The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme

'D of E' is popular in the school. Students can either do the scheme through the CCF or as a non-CCF participant.

Year 9 students do the Bronze Award, including an overnight expedition. A number of our most committed students go through to Gold Award which includes a five-day expedition and a week's residential Community Service. Gold Award winners attend the national Presentation ceremonies with the Duke himself at St.James's Palace.

The Scheme is orgnanised in the School by Mr.Karl Hayter, the CCF SSI and Outdoor Education teacher, with assistance from other members of staff.
