The CCF promotes the qualities of responsibility, self reliance, resourcefulness and a sense of service to the community. Our school Contingent was founded in 2002 and has become extremely popular, with both Army and RAF Sections.. This Term we have opened our new Headquarters.

The Army Section is the largest part of the school's CCF. Cadets learn the skills of fieldcraft,first aid,weapons training, drill and much more.

A Method of Instruction (MOI) Cadre enables senior cadets to become trained as NCOs, taking responsibility for teaching the younger cadets. This opportunity for leadership is a unique element of what CCF has to offer.

The annual Summer Camp - last summer 30 cadets went to Longmoor, Hants it provided cadets with an excellent range of challenging activities - and a lot of fun!

Ten Tors Challenge: Annual event on Dartmoor National Park. 35 and 45 mile walk in teams of 6. Open to Yr 9 cadets and above. Not for the faint hearted! Strenuous training programme.

Annual AT Ski trip: February Half term. Austria. Open to Army and RAF cadets

Forthcoming events: 24 Sept Field Day, Colerne. 4 - 5 Oct Skill at Arms training. Biennial Inspection 16 Oct.
