Greenpower: Electric Car Racing Competition

The St. Edward’s team performed very well in the 2011 season. We competed in three races as follows:

Sunday 11th September – Bedford Autodrome

Sunday 2nd October – Castle Combe Race Circuit

Sunday 16th October – Goodwood Race Circuit (final) 

We came a very creditable 10th position from a field of 22 cars in the final. An outstanding result for a first season.

Future plans:

We aim to better this result for the 2012 season, and the team are now busy constructing a lighter car, with improved gearing and aerodynamics. We also hope to enter the Greenpower Goblins event with a team from our Junior School. Watch this space!
