Sibling Discount
Sibling Discounts are available where a family has three or more children attending the School (or our Junior School) at the same time. Discounts are given to the youngest children as follows:
third child 20%; fourth & subsequent children 40% except in the Kindergarten.
Extras
Tuition fees are normally inclusive of all extras except for residential trips and voluntary activities such as outings to the theatre, concerts etc. and those listed below:
1. Public Examinations
Parents should budget for approximately £300 in the year when a pupil is taking GCSE exams and £200 for AS/A Level exams. This charge will appear on the summer account.
2. Private Tuition
Tutors for Music and Speech and Drama will present their own accounts.
Music:
Individual lesson £85 per term.
Shared lesson £45 per term.
Theory lesson £35 per term.
Instrument Hire £23 per term, Beginners Group Violin or Cello £25 per term.
3. Special Needs
Individual lessons to address Specific Learning Difficulties such as Dyslexia are charged for: £360 per term for a weekly lesson.
Fee Increases
The annual fee increase from September will normally be announced at Easter. However, the Trustees reserve the right to alter the fees by notice in writing before the start of any term.
Payment
Fees are payable in advance termly. Parents must give a term's notice of withdrawal of a pupil or pay a term's fees in lieu of notice. This applies to all Years in the school without exception, including the Year 11 to 6th Form transition. A Direct Debit monthly payment system is also available. Bursaries
We offer a limited number of Bursary-Scholarships for children from famililes who would never otherwise be able to consider independent education - for details click here.
The School will also consider applications for assistance from parents of pupils already in the School or in our Junior School, where difficult financial circumstanceshave arisen which might prevent the pupil's continuance at St Edward's. Such Bursaries are usually given only for limited periods.
