A FOREWORD BY THE HEADMASTER
What more can we achieve as a school? How much difference can we make to your child?
These are the two fundamental questions that we at St Edward's Junior School are constantly focused on. At the end of school life here we want your child to have had an immensely happy time but be itching to go further to be all they can be. We will have prepared them academically, spiritually, socially, emotionally and we will have given them opportunities to develop their sporting, creative and artistic interests and talents
As an independent Catholic school we are in communion with each other to provide a holistic education; which is about truly educating children in the broadest and deepest sense. We also want to continually develop a culture that celebrates 'intelligence' in all areas of the curriculum, whilst paying particular attention to the milestones required in the areas of learning in Maths, English and Science.
Our junior school sits on its own site of forty acres with mature oaks abound, which is a rare and special characteristic. Indeed one would be hard pushed to find a school site that compares to ours - it is a truly magical place. It is important to me that our children have frequent experiences of our outstanding grounds and facilities.
I want St Edward's Junior School to become the best independent co-educational, all ability junior day school in the UK and to be known as a transformative and pioneering educational establishment.
Educating children is the greatest privilege and responsibility one can be involved in. If you are a parent of a child already at our school, thank you for the privilege of educating your child. If you are considering sending your child to St Edward's Junior School, please come and see the school, meet our wonderful children and staff and talk to me about my vision for the school in the coming years.
Warmest regards,
