St Edward’s is a strong and vibrant school community which is based on Christian values. Although we are a Catholic foundation, we welcome pupils of other faiths whose parents feel that they would benefit from our Christian ethos.
Choosing the right Senior School for your child is such an important decision for parents. As parents, you want your child to be happy and successful during their education. Our School motto means to strive for the best and that is exactly what we want for our students at St Edward’s. We aim to help them to develop their God-given gifts and talents so that they can reach their full potential and achieve their personal best within an environment of care and encouragement. We want our pupils to 'Believe' they are truly unique and therefore precious and they possess gifts and talents given by God, which gives them unlimited potential. We want them to 'Strive' to work hard and look for continuous improvement to develop beyond their perceived potential and we want them to 'Achieve' to become happy, resilient, ambitious, respectful high achievers, who are willing to contribute to society. We want our pupils to BELIEVE, STRIVE and ACHIEVE.
We have high expectations of all members of our School community. Excellent teaching and pastoral care in a nurturing environment enables pupils to thrive and flourish. Small class sizes enable teachers to really know pupils and how best to support their individual needs to maximise achievement. A wealth of opportunities exists at St Edward’s for your sons and daughters and we encourage pupils to get fully involved in all aspects of life to get the most from all the academic, extra-curricular, sporting and cultural activities on offer. We value the excellent home-school partnership we develop, which is so important in supporting your child’s learning and progress.
In essence, we believe that we are providing an education that will last a life time. As we guide pupils through their adolescent years and help them to make the right choices, we hope to help create a firm foundation for the rest of their lives.
Thank you for visiting our website and I hope I shall have the pleasure of meeting you soon.
