Curriculum

There is an extremely wide range of options available for A Level. If you are joining us from another school then please do come in and talk to us about your subject choices.

There is plenty of support available to help you choose the subjects you enjoy and those that you might need for whatever path you chose to take whether it is university, art college, conservatoire, apprenticeship, gap year or full time employment.

All our class sizes are small which will enable you to develop an excellent working relationship with your teacher who will be able to support you and work with you to enable you to achieve the best possible grades. We do not 'block' our A Level options and therefore we can offer a huge amount of flexibility with your subject choices.

As a member of the Sixth Form you can expect an excellent range of facilities including dedicated Sixth Form science labs, art and photography studios, a Sixth Form Café and a Careers and Higher Education Centre.  There is a regular programme of external lectures covering topics in the arts, science, politics and the media.  These are enhanced by a comprehensive Personal Social and Health Education (PSHE) programme.

Potential Oxbridge candidates are identified early; they are given detailed guidance on subject and College choices, and practice interviews are arranged. Oxbridge places are regularly offered to students at St Edward's along with those from the Russell Group and the 1994 Group.
