The Christian belief that human beings are created in the image of God and that each person shares in God’s purpose to bring life and allow creation to flourish, underpins the work and nature of our school. At St Edward’s we have an established school Chaplaincy Team who support the Christian ethos of the school and help plan and lead collective worship. These children work as spiritual role models, offering others guidance and support in their faith journey.
Their role involves 3 main areas of responsibility:
The team meet regularly to discuss their roles and identify further ways to support their peers to grow spiritually. Any child in Year 5 and 6 can become a Pupil Chaplain.
